In todays business environment, having a website and email address are quite common, almost the norm.

You would be surprised about how many companies do not use email and, if they do, they use generic email systems. 

Lots of companies do not have website.  I do not believe that every company will need one, but, they should all have a domain registered and a simple page created with contact details.

When sending emails, are you compliant with UK regulations?  Do you send regular newsletters?

Website and email coomunication can help gain and retain business, as long as it is 'right'.  However, if wrong, it will probably lose you customers!
